Black Friday

One more thing. I despise Black Friday. I've never thought getting up at the buttcrack of dawn was worth a few bucks I might save. Well, I was looking at the ads with my mother, who loves the early morning shopping thing and almost everything on my kids Christmas lists was on these ads and I guilted myself into going. So we got up at four and headed to Walmart. It is no small occasion here, either. Cop cars lined the buildings to keep people from fighting. It was great. I didn't get everything i wanted, but I just wanted to go home and go back to bed. However, after lying in bed for over an hour I woke my mom up and told her we were going again. So we went to kohl's. Between the two stores, I got everything that I wanted to get my kids for Christmas for less than half the prices I intended on paying. It was fruitful, dangit, so no I am going to feel inclined to go every year. Bumber deal.

FUN, My Fam had to work and Ashley didn't want to go. But I went to Sears to get the kids snowpants at 60% off. It was great. I am glad you had fun with your mom. Thanksgiving looked amazing.

I can't believe I actually found you! I had no idea where you ended up. I happened to get a message from Lindsey, your cousin on Facebook and she sent me her blog and while perusing, I saw your name! Sweet, I can't believe that you are in California! We have been in Oregon for the last two years. We just moved to Colorado two weeks ago. Your kids are dang cute and you look great! How is everything? By the way, it is funny that you mentioned Wicked on your blog, I want to take my wife and daughter to see it when they show in Denver next year! I can't believe that we both have three kids! We have a girl (Maryn - 4 1/2) and two boys (Caleb - 2 1/2 and Joshua - 8 weeks). Check out our blog at: ericandjanine.blogspot.com

It was fun to see pics of you and your family. By the way, how are your parents? I don't hear much when I visit mine. I know that is surprising since Dubois is the gossip capital of Idaho! Well it's getting late.

Take care and tell your fam hello. Keep in touch

Nathan's sister flew out Friday am, so I figured if I had to bring her to the airport, I may as well work... and since I had an hour to kill, I went into KMart and finished up on a bunch of shopping... I wasn't brave enough to go to Walmart... KMart was pretty tame *grin* If only I'd have gotten that plasma for $900...

I have a love/hate relationship with Black Friday as well. Isn't it a great feeling though? Can't beat a smokin' deal! Your Thanksgiving spread looked delish!

thanks for letting Matt stop by and visit!

p.s. I also love Wicked, we're seeing it with all the dental wives in Louisville in January.

p.p.s. I also hate black Friday, but have never ventured out.

I have been once. Two years ago we went to Target and managed to get three personal DVD players for the girls. I got the last three on the shelf after getting up at 4 am to go stand in line. It was crazy. But after watching what happened at that Walmart this year this that man being crushed and no one caring and just stepping on him, I don't think I will ever support the tradition again. It makes me ill to even think about it.

I am glad you ended up finding good deals though!
